Bottle Blitz 2008
Saturday, August 2
Sorting to take place at
Wetzel Rd. Elementary
This year's bottle blitz will
take place on Saturday, August 4. Each band member will be assigned an area
within the district and will receive a map of that area. On August 4th, each student is to go to each house in
their area, knock on the door and request bottle and can donations for the
marching band. We will not be distributing flyers before hand as we have
done in the past. When the entire area has been covered or the car is full,
bring the bottles/cans to Wetzel Road elementary where they will be sorted.
If necessary, the student and parent will return to their area to complete
their route. Students will remain at the school when they return with their
last load to help with the sorting. Students can feel free to pair up with a
friend to cover both routes. Parents are needed to drive the students (we
discourage student drivers) and are also asked to help sort. All band
members are required to participate.
